Finally, we’ll find out who our new President is on Wednesday, October 4th during the Engineering Society Council Meeting in RCH 307! The results will then also be posted to the Engineering Society website.
This whole process repeats for the Vice Presidential positions and WEEF Director.

Considering running for President?
There will be an online information session and Q&A with current president, Rachel Malevich, on Wednesday, August 30th at 6 pm. Please email cro.b@engsoc.uwaterloo.ca to be included in this session.
Once nomination forms have been submitted, there is a mandatory orientation for Presidential Candidates on Friday, September 15th from 5 – 6 pm in the Orifice Board Room. This meeting covers the timeline and rules for the campaign. All candidates or a designate of the candidate must be present or you risk disqualification from the race. If you will be sending a designate, email their name to me ahead of time, and ensure you meet with them to pass on any information.
Reminder that in order to run for president, you must have paid your EngSoc fees, be in at least your 2A term, have at least earned a 65% average in your previous academic term, and be on term for the next two academic terms (Spring 2018, and Winter 2019). Candidate pairs are not eligible to run for President.
We look forward to working with you all in the Fall term. If you have any questions, don’t hesitate to reach out, we’re always happy to help!
