I, the applicant, do hereby agree to take full responsibility for the booking of P.O.E.T.S. at the above date and time. I will pay a key/damage deposit of $50 when I book P.O.E.T.S.. If more than half of the people in the group are not Eng Soc members, I will pay a non-refundable rental charge of $25 as well. The room will be cleaned at the end of the event. If anything in P.O.E.T.S. or the A/V room is damaged during the event, I will forfeit my deposit and assume all repair expenses.
BAR SERVICES: Failure to meet the minimum consumption for an event of 3 cases of beer will result in the forfeiture of my deposit to pay the labour bill for Bar Services. Additionally, both people specified above shall remain sober and supervise the event. Should UW Police be called for any reason, these individuals should be the first people to speak to them. By law, no alcoholic beverages other than those from Bar Services will be permitted on the premises. Failure to comply with these regulations will result in the offender’s expulsion from P.O.E.T.S. for the term. Further action may also be taken against the individual by Bar Services and/or UW Police.
The key for P.O.E.T.S. may be picked up between noon and 3 PM on the afternoon of the event. This key opens the main P.O.E.T.S. doors and the A/V room. The key must be returned by 10 am on the first business day following the event.
In the case where Bar Services is requested, the booking of POETS is contingent on the approval by the Dean’s Office, Bar Services and UW Police.
