The Speaker Commissioner for the Spring 2012 term is Cam Winterink

Overview

The Speaker is responsible for organizing all aspects of the Engineering Society Council Meetings, including chairing each meeting.  The meeting schedule is set by the President, and it is the Speaker’s responsibility to ensure that the Engenda is compiled, the meeting is advertised, and that food and beverages have been ordered for the meeting.

Day-to-Day Duties

- Compile Engenda for each meeting

- Order food and beverages for after meeting

- Print posters and advertise for each upcoming Council Meeting

- Chair each Council Meeting in accordance to Robert’s Rules of Order

- Ensure that the minutes are distributed in a timely fashion
