Each class has the right to have two Engineering Society reps. While all students are welcome to attend EngSoc meetings, it is the EngSoc reps who are responsible to attend and vote on behalf of their class. EngSoc reps are responsible for collecting feedback from their class prior to meetings and updating their class with recent news and upcoming events after meetings. While EngSoc Reps serve to update their class on events, they also act as liaisons between their class and the EngSoc Executive, which represent Waterloo Undergrad Engineering students to the faculty, university, and even external organizations (ESSCO, CFES, PEO, OSPE).
EngSoc reps also track class participation in EngSoc related events to earn P**5 points. The P**5 points are tracked by EngSoc Directors and the top three classes with the most points at the end of the term win money to go toward a class party the next term!
